World Water Day
Within the framework of the World Day for Water 2016, the Experimental Junior High School of the University of Macedonia organized a number of activities for its senior students to raise awareness on the issue of the water crisis plaguing our planet.
The students discussed the importance of water in our lives through relevant idioms, expressions, and sayings that are abundant in the English language. They also examined a variety of problems that stem from the water crisis, the effect it has on people’s lives, and possible solutions that could lead to water preservation and management. The application of these solutions on everyday life was also discussed and students suggested ways in which they could take action within their local communities to reduce water consumption.
